SUMMARY:
Pinetown. An exciting opportunity exists for a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join an established company supplying branded and private label household and food packaging products to retailers and food industry. This role is ideal for a commercially minded professional with proven experience in the FMCG sector, who is passionate about sustainability and business growth.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Research and analyse market trends to identify new opportunities, industries, and strategic partnerships
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new business opportunities
Generate and qualify leads through cold calling, networking, and industry events
Manage the full sales pipeline from initial engagement through to negotiation and deal closure
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to align growth strategies
Monitor market conditions and competitor activity
Track sales performance and provide accurate forecasting and reporting

Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (advantageous)
Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience within the FMCG sector
Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills
Self-motivated with a strong drive to meet and exceed KPIs
Valid driver’s licence with a reliable vehicle and cell phone
