Business Operations Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading managed services company that implements various types of IT projects including monitoring and cyber security projects based in Centurion is seeking for an experienced and highly organised Operations Manager to oversee and optimise the day-to-day business operations of their technology-driven organisation.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that the company runs efficiently, resources are effectively utilised and processes are continuously improved to support growth and scalability.

POSITION INFO:
In order to be considered the following is required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance or a related field (Master's advantageous) Minimum 5 - 7 years' experience in an operational management or senior administrative role, preferably within a technology business Demonstrable experience in reporting, business process improvement and operational leadership Strong business operations management experience, ideally within a technology or fast-paced, growth-oriented sector Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience in budget management and reporting Proven track record in driving process improvements and operational efficiencies Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands Strong leadership and people management capabilities with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Proficiency in business management tools, reporting systems and technology platforms Responsibilities: Operational Leadership & Management: Oversee daily business operations across departments, ensuring smooth workflow and alignment with strategic objectives Design, implement, and improve operational systems, processes and best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards Manage relationships with vendors, partners and service providers, ensuring performance and contractual obligations are met Business Performance & Reporting: Develop and deliver detailed monthly, quarterly and annual operational and financial performance reports Monitor and analyse key business metrics, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement Provide senior leadership with actionable insights to support decision-making Implement reporting structures that ensure transparency and accountability across the organisation Process Improvement & Efficiency: Identify areas of operational inefficiency and develop solutions to improve cost-effectiveness and productivity Lead initiatives that standardise workflows, optimise resource allocation and leverage technology to streamline operations Champion continuous improvement and embed a culture of operational excellence throughout the business People & Team Management: Support the leadership team in building and maintaining a high-performing culture Provide operational guidance to department heads and staff to ensure alignment with business objectives Contribute to workforce planning, training and professional development initiatives to build organisational capability Strategic Support: Assist the leadership team in executing the business strategy by translating goals into operational plans and measurable outcomes Contribute to budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes Act as a key point of contact for operational escalations and problem-solving The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT managed services or technology operations, excellent organisational and leadership skills and a proven ability to implement operational best practices within a fast-paced environment. Experience managing cross-functional teams, improving operational processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives will be highly advantageous.
