Business Unit / Industry Manager - Plastic Raw Materials - Plastics Manufacturing Industry

SUMMARY:
A well-known International Company requires the above to drive, develop and manage Solutions for Customers’ problems utilizing the comprehensive and complementary Company Product portfolio, analysing Market trends and providing advice on Formulation, Production Process and Application, generating growth for their Principal Partners.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Tertiary qualification in either Polymers or Chemistry or related, or a Commercial qualification is preferred.
• Pervious experience having sold Plastic Raw Materials or related products into the Packaging/Converting and or related Industry is essential.
• Previous experience working within the African Markets is advantageous.
• The successful candidate must have a strong Technical knowledge in the Plastic Blow Moulding and Injection Moulding Packaging Industry, as well as previous having relationships in place with Customers within the Converting Industry is essential.
• Must have a strong Commercial Drive, with an analytical mindset and good interpersonal skills.
• The successful candidate will assume taking ownership of the Division as well as Senior Key Account Management responsibility for the supply of Polymers and Additives or related Raw Materials into the Plastics and Packaging Converting Manufacturing Industries,
• Must understand the impact of Global Monomer Feed Stock Raw Materials/Manufacturing prices and Global Polymer prices on the Local Market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• The successful candidate will assume responsibly and take ownership for the Business supplying Polymers and Additives to the General Injection Moulding and Packaging conversion sections.
• Maximising profitability, controlling working capital, growing the portfolio and achieving budgetary objectives for elected Product portfolios.
• Managing Principals, introducing New Products Ranges, Concepts and Applications into the Market, as well as providing Technical assistance to Customers and Colleagues.
• Taking ownership and driving strategies and presenting Sales forecasts for Annual Budget, as well as overseeing and managing Stock, Debtors and Working Capital Management for the Division.
