COUNTER SALES CONSULTANT

SUMMARY:
A CCTV AND ACCESS CONTROL COMPANY BASED IN MALVERN EAST/GERMITON IS CURRENTLY SEEKING A COUNTER SALES CONSULTANT.
If you are looking to be in charge of the Counter Sales on our young new CCTV and ACCESS CONTROL division in our group of companies and you are able to promote the products and solutions we are going to distribute and when necessary you can also give some initial support to customers and in this way contributing to the success of our Company, then within our growing and young group of companies with our positive attitude to target achievement, which operates in a fast growing and constantly evolving industry with a real zeal for staff development and job satisfaction, maybe we have an opportunity for you!

POSITION INFO:
YOU
You are flexible and a real self-starter, capable of succeeding with minimal supervision.
You have a previous experience in an internal sales/counter sales role and must have learned and know the basic of CCTV and Access Control solutions in order to be able to propose to the customers the correct solution for their specific needs.
You must have your reliable transport and be living within close proximity of our office in Malvern East.
You must have a demonstrable record of achievement preferably in CCVT and Access Control fields, a level of acumen commensurate with this important role and a real can-do attitude.
You should ideally have the following characteristics in your profile and the necessary experience.
 
IN RELATION TO SALES
Minimum of 2 years experience in internal sales / counter sales.
Must have own vehicle and current driver’s license.
Have a portfolio of projects and customers you have already assisted and which you can easily continue to assist in the future.
Experience in calling on existing and assigned customers in accordance with call cycles agreed with the company Manager.
Develop new customers in accordance with the Company’s strategy.
Experience in designing CCTV systems matching Customer’s needs and features available from the systems we distribute on analogue, hybrid and IP platforms.
When required, serve and assist customers on technical topics at the Office trade counter;
Be able to give product demonstrations and POC at the office. At the customer premises will be an exception.
Rendering excellent after sales service to customers including technical support and information in the initial phase of the project.
Be able to prepare and process quotations, orders, invoicing and preparing packaging of the products.
Of course, achieve sales targets.
The experience in a distribution environment is also a plus.
 
IN RELATION TO TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
You have a good understanding of how to fault finding on CCTV systems on all platforms.
Knowledge of MS Office package (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc.)
You are strongly committed to customer satisfaction, prepared to go the extra mile, eager to learn and understand and proactive.
You have a good knowledge of IT networks and are able to work with them.
PC A+ certification and N+ are considered as a bonus.
Installation background is a bonus.
Language: English (Afrikaans is a bonus).
 
THE TERRITORY
You will be based at our office in Malvern East, Germiston. You may be required to interact with our customers on a national basis even if our main area is Gauteng. However there is no limitation on the territory.
