Commercial / Costing Manager

POSITION INFO:

Commercial / Costing Manager – Warehousing Logistics Industry – East Rand

Purpose of job – to carry out tasks and functions in the warehousing environment that require operations knowledge and expertise. Role includes but not limited to costings and proposals, tender preparation, commercial aspect management (closure of contracts, management of contract periods for warehouse clients and management and ensuring timeous client increase calculations) as well as management of staff within this area

Minimum requirements :

Must have an accounting degree
Commercial background
Logistics / Warehouse / Business Management Diploma / Degree – advantageous
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the costing / accounting environment of which at least 3 years of which should be in the logistics / warehousing industry
Costing and accounting skills
Administrative skills
Computer literacy
Time management and analytical skills

Knowledge required :

Knowledge and understanding of costings, P&Ls and general financial areas
Knowledge of commercial contracts and how they are negotiated, entered into, closed and maintained
Have knowledge and understanding of the functioning of operations and systems within warehousing
Have knowledge and understanding of all relevant Standard Operating Procedures
Have knowledge and understanding of company policies
Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and policies applicable to own work area
Knowledge of how to gather business requirements

Salary offer : R850K – R950K CTC
