Commercial Manager: CA(SA)

SUMMARY:
A leading producer within the manufacturing and agricultural sector is seeking a commercially astute Commercial Manager to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a qualified CA(SA) with strong commercial and operational finance experience within a milling environment and exposure to a JSE-listed environment.

POSITION INFO:
The successful candidate will play a key role in driving profitability, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making across multiple production sites. This position will require regular travel to remote production locations to oversee operations, evaluate performance, and provide financial and commercial support to site management teams. Minimum Requirements: Qualified CA(SA) - non-negotiable Minimum 5 years' commercial finance experience Essential experience within a milling environment JSE-listed company exposure is essential Strong operational finance and business partnering experience Proven experience supporting production and manufacturing operations Strong understanding of financial reporting, governance, and compliance requirements within a listed environment Willingness to travel extensively to remote locations Key Responsibilities: Partner with operational management to drive commercial performance and profitability Provide strategic financial guidance to production and site management teams Monitor and analyse production costs, margins, and operational efficiencies Develop and implement commercial strategies to optimise business performance Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Evaluate capital expenditure projects and investment opportunities Conduct profitability analysis across products, sites, and business units Manage cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements Prepare and present financial and operational reports to executive management Support pricing strategies, procurement decisions, and supply chain optimisation Ensure compliance with IFRS, corporate governance requirements, and internal controls Support statutory reporting and compliance within a JSE-listed environment Oversee financial performance across multiple production facilities Travel to remote production sites to monitor operations, assess risks, and support management teams Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic business objectives and growth initiatives If you are a commercially driven CA(SA) with a passion for operations and manufacturing, and you thrive in a hands-on environment, we would love to hear from you.
