Commercial Manager - ESG Exports

Start in January/February 2022! A qualified CA(SA) / neg. coupled with 5-7+ years related experience including Mergers and Acquisitions, corporate finance and IFRS essential. Duties include: provide vision and direction for the Exports and Africa subsidiaries in terms of financial issues as well as directing the financial area of the Export and Africa entities; ensure that the correct structure is in place in the finance area to be able to deliver on the strategy of the Export and Africa entities; guide and direct the day-to-day operations of the finance area an to ensure that effective controls and processes are in place to obtain optimal efficiency; recruit new members of staff to fill vacancies in the finance area in order to ensure that the departments are fully functional and efficient in all entities; attend Board and Committee meetings and to provide relevant, accurate and up to date reports on the financial status of the Export and African entities; plan and direct the annual audit processes to ensure that all financials are accurate and audited on an annual basis; plan and direct the annual budgeting process; oversee the Secretarial functions for the Directors and Shareholders of the Export and African entities; actively involved in the deals activity of the entities and to ensure that all deals entered into are financially viable and to ensure that deals are structured in the most financially astute way possible; authorize payroll monthly of the entities including verifying monthly commissions; oversee the commercial functions in the Export and African entities ensuring all agreements with customers, advisors, shareholders are in place and updated; transfer pricing policies are up to date and pricing to African entities are updated for operational changes; annual insurance renewals are completed and Africa specific travel insurance is updated; lease agreement negotiation; automation and improvement of IT systems driving cost reduction and effective time management and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including imports/exports, taxation, labour / HR.
