As the Commercial Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the South African commercial finance function - delivering accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and strategic support to key stakeholders.
You’ll be instrumental in supporting decision-making, improving financial performance, and partnering with the business to drive growth.

Duties:

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Lead month-end close, reporting, and variance analysis
Analyse sales, gross profit, operating expenses, and balance sheet items
Provide insights across brands, customers, and divisions

Budgeting & Forecasting

Drive annual budgets, forecasts, and 5-year planning
Perform price-volume mix and income statement analysis
Contribute to executive-level budget presentations

Business Partnering & Projects

Support commercial teams with pricing, product launches, and ROI analysis
Partner with business leaders on performance reviews and brand planning
Provide financial guidance and respond to ad hoc queries

Controls & Compliance

Ensure IFRS compliance and strong financial controls
Improve processes and maintain accurate reporting standards
Support audits and third-party reporting requirements

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
BCom Accounting
BCom Honours / CTA
CA(SA)

Experience:

Completed SAICA Articles
5 Years in a financial management role
Minimum 3 years’ commercial finance experience post-articles
Exposure to pharmaceutical or FMCG industries (advantageous)
Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting

Skills & Competencies:

Advanced Excel and financial modelling
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Commercial acumen and strategic thinking
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
