JOB SUMMARY:

A leading Global Systems Integrator and Managed Services Provider has a vacancy for a Commercial Manager to define, develop, evaluate and oversee the implementation of pricing models and strategies.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Commercial Manager, you'll will define, develop, evaluate and oversee the implementation of pricing models and strategies designed to optimize revenue, market share, brand positioning and long-term profits. Partners with Sales, Product, Finance and other key stakeholders to correctly position product portfolio and establish pricing programs aligned with product/sales strategy and revenue recognition requirements.
Monitors the ongoing business environment to ensure competitive pricing/market position and directs the development and analysis of pricing models and projections. Oversees the implementation of pricing proposals across the organization. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Requirements
  • Deep financial analysis of the Practice and understand movements and correlations in financial Information – including budget, forecast and month-end
  • Assist with all M&A activity in the Practice
  • Supplier negotiation to ensure upstream pricing is best in market
  • Customer facing and deal negotiation
  • Margin analysis and insights
  • Manages activities of two or more units or departments
  • Exercises supervision in terms of costs, methods and staffing
  • May have managers below them
  • Sets operational objectives and plans and delegates work to subordinates
  • Senior management reviews objectives to determine success of operation
  • Involved in developing and executing policies that affect immediate operational area
  • Works on issues that need an in-depth knowledge of organisational objectives
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Sets and adheres to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements
  • Interacts with senior management / executives pertaining to functional areas and/or customers
  • Influences others to gain their acceptance without negatively impacting the relationship
Qualifications
  • CA / CIMA qualification with 5 to 7 years post articles experience
  • Minimum 5 years Telecommunications industry experience required
  • Must have strong analytical and business acumen, with the ability to analyze complex market conditions and develop new products.
