A leading organisation is on the lookout for a Commercial Manager: Water Care to spearhead the growth and development of its product and solution segments in this critical industry.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that offers the opportunity to lead commercial strategy across a diverse product portfolio while managing key customer relationships and driving product innovation from concept through to end-of-life.

The successful candidate will play a central role in steering market positioning, engaging with international suppliers, supporting sales and operations teams, and leading customer-centric strategies that deliver value across the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading product strategy, from market analysis and opportunity identification to NPI (New Product Implementation) and ongoing product development
• Overseeing product lifecycle management, including performance monitoring, EPD (Existing Product Development), costings, stock forecasting, and rationalisation of SKUs
• Collaborating closely with international and local suppliers to manage technical, pricing and regulatory aspects of the portfolio
• Driving competitive market positioning and working with marketing to promote the Water Care offering through industry channels, events, editorials and advertising
• Acting as a critical interface between sales, operations, production, quality, supply chain, and external partners
• Coaching and mentoring the technical sales team to enhance solution selling and customer engagement
• Leading strategic account management, developing long-term partnerships, and identifying cross-selling opportunities across customer portfolios
• Reviewing business performance regularly against forecasts and budgets, and adjusting strategies to ensure commercial targets are met
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant local and international regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices
• Representing the company in relevant industry forums, committees, and associations

The ideal candidate will bring:

• A Bachelor of Science or equivalent tertiary qualification
• 5–10 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment products and key account management
• Strong business and commercial acumen, including costing, budgeting, and revenue forecasting
• Demonstrated ability to lead across functions and drive strategic change
• Experience managing both upstream supplier relationships and downstream customer engagement
