Commercial Sales Accountant

SUMMARY:
Talentfuse is recruiting on behalf of a dynamic and very fast-paced FMCG/ Manufacturing organisation, seeking a Sales Finance Accountant to take ownership of pricing, costing, and invoicing integrity across the organisation. This role sits at the intersection of Finance, Commercial, and Operations, requiring a detail-oriented professional who can ensure accuracy of financial data while supporting strategic decision-making.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Financial Support Support local and international finance teams with invoice auditing and month-end reporting Provide accurate and timeous financial data Investigate and resolve billing queries across departments Participate in stock take processes and financial reviews Assist with ongoing financial and operational improvements Costing, Pricing & Invoicing Calculate and maintain accurate cost of sales within the ERP system Extract and validate financial data for management reporting and decision-making Maintain and update pricing structures in line with commercial changes Ensure pricing accuracy across systems and customer platforms Monitor billing accuracy between internal ERP and external systems Ensure commercial agreements are correctly implemented within billing systems Drive pricing data integrity and standardisation of processes Provide guidance and training to internal teams to improve accuracy Operations & Process Improvement Collaborate with Commercial and Back Office teams to ensure data accuracy Identify process gaps and implement improvements Support operational efficiency and cost-saving initiatives Assist with supplier and stakeholder coordination where required Additional Responsibilities (Site-Specific) Oversee daily and monthly financial transactions Ensure ERP entries are accurate and fully reconciled Monitor overheads, labour, and raw material costs Track and manage waste and cost control measures Support management with supplier and contractor decisions Ensure deadlines for monthly reporting are met Candidate Profile & Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred) 3-5 years' experience in an accounting or finance role Experience in costing, pricing, and invoicing processes Exposure to ERP systems (advantageous) Experience in process improvement or operational excellence (advantageous) Internal audit experience is beneficia Key Skills & Competencies Advanced Excel and strong systems proficiency Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes Strong analytical and problem-solving ability High attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong organisational and administrative capability Proactive, self-driven with strong follow-through Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills Key Attributes Detail-driven with a strong sense of ownership Structured and highly organised Solutions-oriented mindset Adaptable and comfortable with changing priorities Strong work ethic and accountability What Success Looks Like Accurate and reliable pricing and financial data across systems Smooth collaboration between Finance, Commercial, and Operations Improved processes and efficiencies within the function Strong support to management through meaningful financial insights
