Consumer Communications Writer

SUMMARY:
A globally minded luxury safari and conservation brand is seeking a talented and driven CONSUMER COMMUNICATIONS WRITER to join their marketing team

POSITION INFO:
This is a mid-to-senior level content role for a writer who is equally comfortable crafting a campaign headline and a long-form conservation story, someone who understands luxury audiences, thinks in narratives, and can move between brand voice and performance copy without losing either. Field travel is part of the role, and a genuine interest in wildlife and conservation is non-negotiable. Core Criteria: 5 to 8+ years' experience in copywriting, content, or editorial roles Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign work, digital and social content, and versatility across formats Proven experience writing for consumer-facing brands, ideally in the luxury or travel space Deep understanding of social-first and mobile-first content creation Ability to balance brand storytelling with performance objectives (SEO, CRO, conversion) Experience writing across multiple channels: web, social, email\/CRM, print, and digital campaigns Excellent research skills and comfort conducting stakeholder interviews in the field Degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline Passion for wildlife, sustainability, and conservation Core Responsibilities: Write high-quality copy across social media (organic and paid), website, email, campaign messaging, and long-form storytelling Develop platform-native content tailored to channel best practice and audience behaviour Collaborate with marketing, creative, and brand teams to shape campaign narratives and messaging hierarchies Act as a guardian of brand voice, reviewing and refining copy across the team for consistency and quality Write with performance in mind, testing messaging variations and iterating based on results Conduct in-depth research on camps, ecosystems, wildlife, and communities across the regions of operation Travel to field locations to source authentic, first-hand stories and build relationships with on-the-ground teams Interview guides, camp staff, and experts to capture genuine perspectives and translate them into compelling content Partner with designers, video editors, CRM teams, and social media leads to deliver integrated, multi-format content Identify opportunities for new content formats, series, and storytelling approaches This is a live-out role
