Contract(FIDIC) Engineer (Registered)

SUMMARY:
Are you a detail-oriented contract professional with deep expertise in FIDIC conditions of contract? We’re seeking a Registered Contract Engineer to oversee and manage contract administration on major infrastructure and engineering projects. This 2 year contract role is key to ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and smooth execution of contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle and it is based in Pretoria

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:
-,Ensure that contract strategies, tenders, contracts, and variations are in full compliance with company’s Policies and Procedures.
- Review contractors’ invoices and prepare Progress Payment Certificates with Cost Control, costs, forecasts, and requests for extras.
- Prepare responses to queries raised by the contractor.
- Evaluate claims and be responsible for dispute resolution.
- Comprehensive administration of the contract of the project, ensuring the parties properly fulfill their obligations and responsibilities in a fully auditable manner.
- Ensuring that project timelines and deliverables are met.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum B Eng/BSc Eng in Civil Engineering or BSc Quantity Surveying
- Candidate must be registered as a PrEng or PrQS
- Registered SACPCMP would be beneficial
- Candidate should have a minimum of 20 years' experience in contract administration, construction monitoring, management and administration of mega infrastructure projects (Bulk Water Projects including large diameter pipelines, pump stations and related infrastructure)
- Well experienced and knowledgeable of the FIDIC Conditions of Contract
- Candidate must have at least the following experience in mega raw bulk water infrastructure projects:
- Raw bulk water projects, Contract value > R 500 million
Claims and dispute resolution of raw bulk water project, Contract value > R 500 million
