POSITION INFO:

A leading, large-scale digital business is looking for an experienced Digital Product Manager to take full ownership of a high-impact product vertical and drive its strategic growth, commercial performance, and customer experience.

This role sits at the heart of the organisation’s digital strategy, owning the end-to-end product lifecycle — from insight and ideation through to delivery, optimisation, and scale. You’ll act as the single point of accountability for product performance, ensuring customer-facing platforms, portals, and digital tools are intuitive, scalable, and commercially successful.

Duties and responsibilities:

Strategic Growth & Commercial Impact

• Drive growth against annual targets for your assigned vertical

• Define and execute a clear growth strategy in partnership with sales, marketing, and business leadership

• Evaluate ROI for new initiatives and optimise post-launch performance

End-to-End Product Ownership

• Own and maintain a 1–3 year product roadmap aligned to business objectives

• Deliver committed initiatives on time, within budget, and to high quality standards

• Lead go-to-market planning, product launches, and enablement with marketing

Customer Experience Leadership

• Ensure exceptional digital experiences across portals, UIs, and customer-facing tools

• Actively manage and improve customer satisfaction and value metrics (e.g. NPS, CSAT, ARPU, GM%)

• Represent the product vertical in key customer engagements and industry forums

Market & Competitive Intelligence

• Conduct quarterly competitor and market analysis with clear, actionable insights

• Proactively identify opportunities and threats and adjust product strategy accordingly

Operational Excellence

• Maintain strong platform health, stability, scalability, and compliance

• Improve product support and ticket health by reducing recurring issues

• Validate, prioritise, and execute change and new product requests effectively

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, operations, and support teams

• Lead quarterly product reviews with executive stakeholders

• Serve as the central point of accountability for product performance across the vertical.

Core Skills & Experience

• Strong product ownership experience with a proven ability to shape vision, roadmap, and execution

• Excellent executive stakeholder engagement — comfortable influencing at senior leadership and Exco level

• Solid commercial and financial acumen, including product P&L, pricing, and profitability

• Experience within B2C digital platforms, ideally with exposure to telematics or data-driven products

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

• Product Management and/or Agile/Scrum certification (advantageous, not essential)

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Product Management

• Proven track record of working with multi-disciplinary teams and scaling digital products

Nice to Have

• Exposure to product-led growth (PLG), loyalty programs, or value-added services

• Understanding of UX, CX, and user-centred design principles

• Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, LLMs, telematics, or similar.

• R1.4-R1.6 million per annum
