This role offers the chance to work at the forefront of store-level operations, providing critical insights that drive efficiency, governance, and business improvement across multiple locations.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in strengthening internal controls and ensuring compliance across store operations. Acting as a trusted advisor to management, you’ll provide hands-on audit support, identify risk areas, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced retail landscape.

POSITION INFO:

What You’ll Be Doing

Conduct detailed store-level audits, assessing adherence to policies, procedures, and controls
Perform a variety of audits including:
- Compliance reviews
- Roaming and operational audits
- Store opening and closure audits
Execute follow-up reviews to track corrective actions and improvements
Contribute to special projects, including investigations, forensic reviews, and ad hoc assignments
Identify high-risk areas through data analysis and support targeted investigations
Participate in stock take reviews and operational assessments
Assist in the development and enhancement of audit programs
Review and recommend improvements to internal policies and procedures
Support leadership by promoting strong governance and operational discipline across stores

What We’re Looking For

NQF Level 6 qualification in Internal Audit
Minimum 4 years’ internal audit experience
Solid understanding of IIA standards
Exposure to key business processes such as finance, procurement, inventory, and operations
Experience within retail environments highly advantageous
Familiarity with audit tools (e.g. BarnOwl) beneficial
CIA qualification is a plus
Willingness and ability to travel extensively
