E, C & I Engineer
Location: Centurion, Gauteng
A respected engineering consultancy is seeking an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (E, C & I) Engineer to join its growing engineering team in Centurion. This opportunity is ideal for a driven engineer with strong technical skills and a passion for delivering innovative engineering solutions across industrial and infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, implementation, and commissioning of electrical, control, and instrumentation systems while working closely with multidisciplinary project teams.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Design and develop electrical, control, and instrumentation systems for industrial projects. Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, reports, and design documentation. Develop control philosophies, I\/O schedules, and instrumentation datasheets. Assist with PLC, SCADA, and automation-related projects. Perform electrical load calculations and power distribution designs. Review contractor documentation and vendor submissions. Participate in FATs, SATs, commissioning, and site acceptance activities. Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during project execution. Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulations, and client requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Minimum Requirements BEng or BTech Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in an E, C & I engineering role. Experience within a consulting engineering, industrial, mining, manufacturing, power, or processing environment. Knowledge of electrical power systems, instrumentation, and process control. Understanding of PLC, SCADA, and automation systems. Proficiency in engineering design software and Microsoft Office. Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Advantageous Exposure to industrial automation and process control projects. Experience with MCCs, LV distribution, drives, and instrumentation systems. Experience with AutoCAD and related engineering design software. ECSA registration or progress towards professional registration.
