Introduction:

A reputable golf estate in Pretoria has an exciting opportunity available – they are looking for a Function and Events Coordinator with at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and within a hospitality environment.

Job Purpose:

The main purpose of the job is coordinate functions at the various venues (including golf events) through efficient communication between the client and internal departments to ensure that the guests’ expectations are exceeded.

Experience and other requirements:

Matric certificate (Essential)
Hospitality or Tourism Management qualification (Desirable)
2 years’ experience in event coordination or catering/banqueting
Driver’s license and own vehicle a requirement.

Responsibilities and duties

Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives.
Liaise, meet, and discuss the clients’ requirements with the caterers and suppliers to ensure that quality products are supplied
Come up with suggestions to enhance the event's success.
Prepare budgets and ensure adherence.
Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers

Salary:

R12k – R15k per month depending on experience
