POSITION INFO:

Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director has overall responsibility for the management of the Space Science Programme, ensuring it is appropriately positioned on a sustainable basis to deliver strategic programmes for the benefit of the sectors, markets and communities that it serves. The Executive Director is also a Member of the Executive Team and as such shares a collective
responsibility for the strategic oversight of the organization.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• A PhD degree in a relevant Space Science field
• An MBA will be an added advantage
• At least ten (10) years experience at senior management level in the Space Science environment
• Three (3) to five (5) years experience at executive management level
• Exceptional research track record

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyse, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively

innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and
presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or
boards of directors

NUMERICAL SKILLS:
Intermediate Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest,
commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply
concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to understand basic accountancy and
financial statements.

REASONING ABILITY:

Highest Skills: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of
intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific
equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of
abstract and concrete variables.
