FP&A Business Partner

POSITION INFO:
This role will partner closely with senior leaders and key business functions, translating financial and operational data into meaningful insights that support profitability, efficiency and sustainable growth. The successful candidate will bring a strong combination of FP&A, commercial finance, financial modelling and treasury expertise , together with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders. This role is based in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg North Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning & Analysis Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. Develop long-term financial plans, forecasts and strategic financial models. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial performance reports. Analyse revenue, costs, margins, profitability and key operational KPIs. Investigate budget versus actual variances and provide practical recommendations. Build financial models to support business cases, investments, pricing decisions and strategic initiatives. Prepare financial commentary and presentations for Executive Management, Exco and Board-level meetings. Support capital expenditure assessments and return-on-investment analysis. Drive the automation, digitisation and continuous improvement of financial reporting. Business Partnering Partner with operational, commercial and support functions to improve business performance. Provide financial guidance and insights to support informed decision-making. Challenge assumptions and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency. Assist business units with budget management and financial accountability. Translate operational performance into clear financial insights and recommendations. Treasury & Cash Flow Management Manage group cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning. Develop and maintain short-, medium- and long-term cash flow models. Drive working capital optimisation across receivables, payables and inventory. Monitor cash positions and ensure sufficient liquidity for operational requirements. Manage relationships with banks and relevant financial service providers. Oversee facility utilisation, overdrafts, guarantees and financing arrangements. Review and authorise electronic payments within delegated authority limits. Support foreign currency requirements where applicable. Monitor compliance with treasury policies and banking covenants. Identify and mitigate liquidity and treasury risks. Prepare treasury and cash flow reporting for senior management. Management Reporting & Business Intelligence Develop and maintain dashboards and BI reporting tools. Ensure accurate and timely reporting across business units. Provide meaningful management information and performance analysis. Improve data quality, governance and reporting integrity. Support month-end reviews and executive performance reporting. Governance & Controls Ensure adherence to financial policies, controls and governance frameworks. Maintain robust controls across financial planning, reporting and treasury activities. Support internal and external audit requirements. Identify and implement opportunities to improve finance processes and controls. Job Experience and Skills Required: BCom Honours Finance or an equivalent finance qualification. Additional FP&A qualification or certification would be advantageous. 5-10 years' progressive finance experience. At least 3 years' experience in FP&A, commercial finance, treasury and\/or business partnering. Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling. Proven treasury and cash flow management experience. Experience preparing and presenting financial information to senior management. Experience working with BI and reporting tools, preferably Power BI . Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills. Apply now!
