POSITION INFO:
We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the effective management, maintenance and compliance of our distribution centre, facilities, assets and technical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, asset uptime, health and safety, supplier performance and effective management of facilities budgets. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the facilities management plan in line with business strategy. Manage and maintain ammonia refrigeration plant, ensuring system uptime and required temperatures. Ensure compliance with regulatory, fire, electrical, building, environmental and safety requirements. Manage facilities assets, preventative maintenance programmes and equipment uptime. Oversee facilities projects, contractors, subcontractors and technical installations. Manage suppliers, SLAs, cleaning, security and waste management services. Manage Opex and Capex expenditure and ensure costs remain within budget. Oversee health and safety inspections, drills, contractor inductions and emergency procedures. Monitor utilities, energy, water, solar systems and sustainability performance. Prepare operational, financial, sustainability and facilities performance reports. Conduct regular inspections and coordinate repairs, maintenance and breakdowns. Minimum Requirements 5+ years' experience in facilities management. 5 years' experience in an FMCG ammonia plant maintenance environment is essential. Relevant Facilities Management qualification, such as SAFMA, UCT, A4FM or CFM. SAQCC Cat A Ammonia Refrigeration Plant qualification for safe handling and inspections. SAQCC Cat B registered qualified technician experience is advantageous. Ammonia Refrigeration Plant Diploma Course is advantageous. Knowledge of project management, maintenance lifecycles, budgeting, compliance, OHS, financial management, space planning and building maintenance. Experience within FMCG, warehousing or distribution environments is preferred.
