Field Services Manager

Our client is looking for a Field Services Manager who will undertake the successful management of the field services division in Southern African.

Responsibilites:

• Establish and maintain a positive and informative relationship with the client, supplier, sub-contractor and colleagues.
• Support Business Development (BD) in order to ensure accurate and timely quotations are supplied to customers for FS Projects
• Support BD in order to achieve new business opportunities for FS Projects And Service Level Agreements (SLA) in line with the annual budgets
• Support Operations and Maintenance (O&M) in order to prioritise conversion of SLA’s to long term O&M contracts
• Develop new FS, SLA and O&M opportunities in Southern Africa with the support of BD and Business Support
• Accept full responsibility and accountability for successful management of the three field services divisions, including but not limited to contractual, procurement, engineering, execution, technical and financial aspects.
• Development and Implementation of the Scope of Work (SoW) for each Field Services Project and Service Level Agreement (SLA) in accordance with the relevant contractual requirements.
• Implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) aligned with the SOW for each Field Services (FS) Project and SLA
• Continued review and improvement of SoW and SOP’s on all projects and SLA’s with support of Business Support division
• Ensure that all FS contracts as sufficiently staffed with adequately qualified and trained personnel
• Ensure that FS contracts are executed in accordance with the contractual requirements and the developed SOP’s in order to avoid scope creep.
• Risk management of all contracts in the region
• Continuous review of contract performance contractual requirements and profitability.

Qualifications:

• BTech / BSc in an engineering field (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Water) at a recognised institution or assessed equivalent competence.
• A minimum of 5 years working experience.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing Field Services/Operational & Maintenance teams and projects
• A minimum of 5 years working experience in the operation of process plants will be an advantage
• Experience in Project / Operational Contract Management in Services Environment, particularly utilising internationally recognised Conditions of Contract (such as FIDIC, GCC, NEC) will be an advantage
• Thorough knowledge of commercial terms will be an advantage
• Pr. Eng. (ECSA) and/or Pr. CM/CPM and/or PMP will be advantageous
