Duties: Lead the financial reporting function, ensuring robust controls and compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements. Oversee the preparation of annual financial statements, management accounts, and regulatory reporting. Deliver meaningful financial insights and business performance analysis to support strategic decision-making. Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes. Monitor profitability, key financial metrics, and competitor benchmarking. Provide commercial support on strategic initiatives, investments, partnerships, and new business opportunities. Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate risks, returns, and growth opportunities. Support mergers and acquisitions, valuations, and business case development. Ensure efficient financial operations and a strong internal control environment. Lead and develop a high-performing finance team while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Partner with auditors and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements. Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting CTA CA(SA) Experience: Completed SAICA articles. Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience within a regulated financial services environment is essential. Strong commercial acumen and analytical capabilities. Proven track record in strategic financial planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Exposure to the insurance industry will be advantageous, with preference given to candidates with life insurance experience. Demonstrated ability to influence at Executive Committee and Board level.
