SUMMARY:
A well-established player in the mining services space is seeking to appoint a Financial Manager to take full ownership of the finance function.

This role is suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys operating in a hands-on environment while contributing to strategic business direction.

POSITION INFO:

This position requires a balance between strong technical ability and commercial awareness, with a focus on improving efficiencies, managing risk, and ensuring the business is well-positioned to meet its financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the full finance function, ensuring strong governance and compliance
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
Prepare and present management reports with clear, actionable insights
Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk
Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team
Partner with operational stakeholders to improve cost efficiency and profitability
Oversee audits, tax compliance, and statutory reporting requirements

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
CIMA or similar professional qualification preferred

Experience:

8 to 10 years’ post-qualification experience
Minimum 3 years in a senior or leadership finance role
Industry exposure within mining, industrial services, or a related operational environment
Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, hands-on setting

Skills:

Strong financial reporting and analytical capability
Commercially astute with strategic thinking ability
Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
High attention to detail with a proactive approach
Demonstrated leadership and team management capability
