SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead a critical financial compliance and remediation project. This assignment will focus on strengthening financial governance, resolving historical compliance matters, improving controls, and ensuring the organisation is well-positioned from a regulatory and financial management perspective.
Reporting to senior leadership, the successful candidate will take ownership of a defined project portfolio involving compliance remediation, tax-related matters, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, and financial risk mitigation. This role requires an individual who can quickly assess the current environment, identify gaps, implement solutions, and drive measurable outcomes.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a hands-on Financial Manager, Senior Financial Accountant, Audit Professional, or Finance Consultant with experience delivering complex finance projects within fast-paced commercial environments.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Driving the resolution of outstanding compliance and regulatory matters Reviewing historical financial processes, controls, and documentation to identify areas of risk Implementing corrective actions and strengthening financial governance frameworks Managing stakeholder engagement with regulatory bodies, external advisors, and auditors Ensuring all statutory submissions and supporting documentation are accurate, complete, and up to date Leading remediation initiatives relating to financial reporting, tax compliance, and control weaknesses Reviewing financial records and reconciliations to ensure compliance with legislative requirements Developing sustainable processes and controls to prevent future compliance risks Providing regular progress updates and recommendations to executive leadership Partnering with finance teams to transfer knowledge and establish best-practice procedures Skills & Experience: Minimum 4 to 6 years' related experience Qualification: SAICA \/ SAIPA \/ Tax Qualification Connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Financial recruitment vacancies.
