POSITION INFO:

As the Financial Accountant, you’ll be at the center of the finance function ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining compliance, and providing strategic insights to management. You’ll have exposure to the full financial cycle, from transaction processing to management reporting and decision support, within a collaborative and performance-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to guide performance decisions.
Manage audit processes, liaising with auditors, banks, and key stakeholders.
Drive cost control and efficiency initiatives across the finance function.
Support strategic planning by providing financial insights and analysis.
Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, and statutory regulations.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

BCom Accounting degree (essential).
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles.
Experience in logistics, import/export, or FMCG environment advantageous.
Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g. Sage, SAP, or similar).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly and confidently.
A hands-on, ownership-driven attitude with a willingness to learn and add value beyond the numbers.
