An established logistics and supply chain leader is on the hunt for a Financial Accountant who thrives on accuracy, ownership, and impact. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, perfect for someone who enjoys turning numbers into insight and ensuring every rand on the move is accounted for.

POSITION INFO:
Our client is a market-leading logistics company known for delivering seamless freight, warehousing, and distribution solutions across Southern Africa. They operate in a results-driven environment where finance plays a critical role in guiding operational decisions and project success.

The Financial Accountant will form part of a high-performing team, partnering closely with operations to deliver timely, insightful financial reporting and ensure compliance across multiple entities. This role offers real exposure, not just to the books, but to the business behind them.

Key Responsibilities:

Full responsibility for monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and financial statements
Manage general ledger integrity, cash flow, fixed assets, and intercompany accounts
Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, and audit requirements
Support month-end and year-end close with accurate reporting and analysis
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and performance reports to guide key business decisions
Partner with operations to track performance and drive cost efficiency

Job Experience & Skills Required:

BCom Accounting or equivalent qualification (CIMA / SAIPA / SAICA advantageous)
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in financial accounting within logistics, transport, or distribution
Solid understanding of IFRS, reporting standards, and cost control
Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency (SAP, Syspro, or similar)
Commercially minded, detail-focused, and confident engaging across all business levels
Hands-on, energetic, and ready to make things happen
