A reputable concern who has three independent entities operating under the business is looking for a Financial Controller to join their finance team.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the company’s tax packs, monthly management reporting packs and the monthly forecast packs. The Financial Controller will also be responsible for compiling the consolidations for the entities, liaising with the external auditors as well as statutory reporting and internal controls. The Financial Controller will also be responsible for reviewing the creditors reconciliations and consolidations for the organization.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

CA (SA)

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 1 and a half to 2 years’ post article experience
Experience in working in a head office environment is preferred
Working knowledge of conducting consolidations for at least 4 entities is preferred
Strong working knowledge of IFRS and IFRS implementation
Experience in the manufacturing/services industries is preferred
Preference for working in a smaller finance teams
Experience in preparing group financial statements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong technical accounting skills
Excellent business acumen
