A reputable concern in the media space is looking for a Financial Controller who is comfortable working in a fast paced, fun and challenging environment, to join their finance team.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Financial Controller will be responsible for reviewing controls and processes, reviewing the budgets, cash flows and cost reports. The Financial Controller will also be responsible for reviewing and managing the calculation of revenue, cost of sale, Work in Progress in terms of IFRS 15 as well as reviewing the monthly journals and managing the audits. The Financial Controller will also prepare all reports, prepare budgets and forecasts and manage the debtors.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

BCom Honors in Accounting
CIMA completed

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 5 years experience in the field of Cost Accounting/Management Accounting
At least 2 years experience in a managerial role is non-negotiable
Experience in a tv production/media industry is non-negotiable
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Willing to work overtime when required
Experience in dealing with the budgeting process is preferred
