SUMMARY:
Financial Controller

POSITION INFO:

This position reports to: Financial Manager

Main Responsibilities

Compilation of monthly management accounts
Prepare management slides for board meetings
Assisting with consolidation and analysis of monthly group figures
Monthly reporting to head office
Reporting on daily/weekly/monthly sales
Report on daily/weekly/monthly cash balances
Cashflow management including hedging of foreign currency
Prepare monthly returns (e.g. Statutory returns/Reserve Bank/Other).
Prepare and review monthly reconciliations
Dealing with head office queries
Analyse inventory / costing (Standard Costing)
Financial ratio analysis group in order to allow for better decision making
Financial control review
Enforce company policies and procedures in relation to finance
Ensure compliance with Head Office policies and accounting standards
Operating expense management
Release payments
Authorise payments
Assisting with compilation of statutory returns
Assisting with transfer pricing
Assist in preparation of annual budget
Attend to various other assignments and ad hoc projects as required by management.

Financial year-end

Dealing with auditors’ queries
Preparation of financial year end and tax packs
Compilation of annual financial statements

Minimum Requirements

Bcom. (Honours) Accounting
CA(SA)
Strong knowledge Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
Strong knowledge of VAT legislation
2 Years post articles experience advantageous

Must have the ability to work independently and in a team
Must have attention to detail
Must be deadline-oriented
Must have good communication skills
