Financial Controller

SUMMARY:
A Multinational Pharmaceutical company based in the North of Johannesburg has a position for Financial Controller. The role requires a completed CA(SA) or CIMA qualification with experience from a similar multinational concern. This role is to support the Financial Director.

POSITION INFO:

Main Purpose of the Position:

Provide coordination of company financial planning and budget management functions. Support on Financial accounting function

Key Responsibilities:

1. Act as a business partner to various departments/stakeholders
2. Preparation and distribution of monthly management reports
3. Preparation and analysis of monthly management results
4. Review of existing & implementation of new Controlling SOP’s
5. Standard costing and variance analysis
6. Ensure monthly reporting are submitted to relevant stakeholders as per deadlines
7. Ensure the budget/forecast processes in terms of updating corporate schedules and systems are performed timeously
8. Analysis of overheads
9. Analysis of product profitability and forecasting
10. Cash Flow consolidation and reporting
11. Assisting with monthly tax returns and filing
12. Assist with year-end closing procedures and updating of costs and inventory valuations
13. Preparation and controlling of the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes
14. Updating of regional and corporate financial systems
15. Other ad-hoc reporting and analysis

Requirements:

3 – 6 years in Financial Controlling at a large corporate
Highly proficient in Excel/ ERP systems/ SAP (not negotiable)

Qualifications:

Completed CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (minimum)
