SUMMARY:
An well-known engineering firm with a global footprint is seeking a Financial Controller with project experience in the mining or engineering industry join their team. This role requires a strong operational and accounting technical focus in addition to a focusing on delivering high quality management.

POSITION INFO:

Qualifications and Experience:

CA(SA)
Completed articles with one of the big 4 audit firms
Mining or Engineering industry(advantageous)

Key Performance Areas (Responsibilities)

Overseeing the preparation of companies’ statutory accounts and audit support.
First review of annual financial statements in compliance with relevant Companies act and IFRS
Develop the annual budgets in conjunction with the Finance BP
Assist in the continuous improvement and development of system integration and reporting.
Experience in Finance, Accounting and Administration including
Financial and management accounting, IFRS / financial regulations, accounting systems, cash reporting
Financial reporting, forecasts, analysis, budgets and planning
Experience with general ledger functions and month-end /year end close processes 3-4 years (Essential)
Thorough knowledge of international accounting principles and procedures
