SUMMARY:
A progressive entity in the mining and engineering space is currently in the market for a qualified Chartered Accountant to take up a role as a Financial Controller. The ideal candidate must have extensive projects experience.

POSITION INFO:

A progressive entity in the mining and engineering space is currently in the market for a qualified Chartered Accountant to take up a role as a Financial Controller. The ideal candidate must have extensive projects experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

• CA(SA)
• Completed articles with one of the big 4 audit firms
• Mining or Engineering industry (essential)
• Project’s experience (essential)

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing the preparation of companies’ statutory accounts and audit support.
• First review of annual financial statements in compliance with relevant Companies act and IFRS
• Develop the annual budgets in conjunction with the Finance BP
• Assist in the continuous improvement and development of system integration and reporting.
• Experience in Finance, Accounting and Administration including
• Financial and management accounting, IFRS / financial regulations, accounting systems, cash reporting
• Financial reporting, forecasts, analysis, budgets and planning
• Experience with general ledger functions and month-end /year end close processes 3-4 years (Essential)
• Thorough knowledge of international accounting principles and procedures
