Financial Controller

SUMMARY:
A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking a Financial Controller to join their high performing team. The Financial Controller will be responsible for the management of the Finance Department in terms of financial and transactional accounting; management accounting and reporting; statutory compliances including both internal & external audits and direct & indirect taxes.

Minimum Requirements:

• CA(SA)
• Big 4 articles preferable
• 5 years post article experience
• 2 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• 3 years’ experience managing a team (post articles)
• Multinational experience preferable
• SAP is advantageous
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, taxation, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and IFRS
• Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
• Excellent business acumen and ability to build on processes & policies
• Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
• Strong personality with excellent communication skills and leadership skills
