SUMMARY:
Are you a seasoned Financial Controller ready to make your next career move within the pharmaceutical industry. My client based in Johannesburg is currently looking for a Financial Controller to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

CA(SA)
Big 4 articles preferable
Minimum 5 years’ post articles experience with at least 2 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
At least 3 years team management experience (post articles)
Multinational experience preferable

Responsibilities:

Management accounting and reporting, Adhere to local, regional and global reporting deadlines by ensuring accurate and timeous data submission, including but not limited to:

Net sales finalisation
P&L finalisation
Month end reporting pack and presentation
Capex management and reporting
Debtors and inventory reporting
Net working capital reporting
Review of expense and profit split and reporting thereof
Any and all other reporting requirements

Internal compliance

Ensuring compliance to our local and global policies
Ensure SOX compliance
Ensure contract management compliance
Ensure quarterly training to business on all finance policies and processes
All other internal compliance adherence

Special projects
Assistance on management of BBBEE compliance including implementation of BBBEE plan
Lead system implementations and upgrades, both internal and external systems
Management of mergers and acquisitions from a finance perspective
Any and all other special projects that may come up during the year

Statutory compliance

Managing audit and ensuring audit is completed on time and AFS signed as per deadline
Ensure direct and indirect tax compliance
Ensuring Provisional taxes are paid in time after approval
Ensuring accounting policies are applied consistently with no deviations
Ensuring of compliance to local company laws
All other statutory compliances

Financial Accounting

Monthly review of final TB, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all account balances
Monthly balance sheet reviews
Cash flow management, including adherence to global targets and payment adherence
Business support, including but not limited to:
Ensure business support providing across South Africa business and all departments, including support on:
New product launches
Business development deals
Expense management across the business
Net Working capital management including adherence to global targets
Providing adhoc reports, analysis and insights
