A reputable pharmaceutical concern whose aim is to set new standards in healthcare through innovation and passion is looking for a Financial Controller to join their finance team. The Financial Controller will report to the Finance Director and manage a team of 2 direct reports and 5 indirect reports.

A reputable pharmaceutical concern whose aim is to set new standards in healthcare through innovation and passion is looking for a Financial Controller to join their finance team. The Financial Controller will report to the Finance Director and manage a team of 2 direct reports and 5 indirect reports.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Financial Controller will be responsible for reviewing the final trial balance and balance sheet as well cash flow management. The Financial Controller will be responsible for month end reporting, profit and loss finalization and management accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the 5-year strategic plan process, monthly and quarterly forecasts, budgeting and statutory compliance. The successful candidate will also be responsible for SOX compliance and providing business support.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

CA (SA)
Big 4 audit article experience

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 5 years’ post article experience of which 2 years’ should be in the pharmaceutical space
At least 3 year’s managerial experience
Experience working in a multinational organization
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, taxation, and cost control principles
Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
Knowledge of SOX and SOX compliance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent business acumen
Ability to build on processes and policies
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
