SUMMARY:
A logistics company based in Olifantsfontein urgently seeks a Financial Controller to join their dynamic Finance team.

POSITION INFO:
Qualification

Bcom Financial Management
Completed SAICA articles (an advantage)

Requirements

Minimum 6 years experience
Evolution accounting
Advanced Excel
Analytical Skills and eye for inaccuracies
Self motivated, efficient
Good communication skills - fluent in Afrikaans and English
Problem Solving

Duties

Maintain Fixed Asset Register, responsible for depreciatio journals and write offs
Maintain lease schedule - Journals for interest, bank charges and VAT on bank charges
Capture daily exchange rates into accounting and operational programs
Submission on monthly VAT returns, as well as follow ups with SARS
Prepare bank documents for signature and payment
Validate insurance against Fixed Asset Register and FMS
Daily revenue check report. Evolution vs FMS
Monthly subcontractor check and accrual.Evolution vs FMS
License and permit soothing journals at month end
Road fees deferred expense journals at month end
Post journals obo bookkeepers
Create new accounts receivable and accounts payable accounts
