Financial Controller

Our client has an opportunity available for a Financial Controller based in Bryanston.

Requirements:

• B Comm Hons or equivalent.
• 3 years demonstrated experience in financial management.
• 2+ years demonstrated experience in people management.
• CA (SA) or CIMA.
• 2 years demonstrated experience in a multi-national and multi currencies environment.
• Experience in mining or manufacturing is desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the monthly and quarterly reporting processes for the respective countries are met and executed within the stipulated deadlines.
• Execute ad-hoc reporting requirements.
• Support the Finance Manager International to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.
• Actively compile and utilise International financial reports as a management tool.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations submitted by the teams and coordinate the process.
• Support the reconciliation of fixed assets accounts and ensure monthly reviews of the asset register.
• Highlight any potential in accounts payable or receivable to the respective parties.
• Ensure annual audit preparation processes are in place and are effectively implemented.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting frameworks and statutory compliance.
• Participate in the review of the business performance
• Support the Finance function and partner with the operations in protecting the assets of the company and in ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Actively support the FM International in various activities pertaining to the budgeting and forecasting process.
• Review the region’s budgets and submit to FM International for review and approval.
