Financial Controller (Exco) Engineering Manufacturing

SUMMARY:
A well-known and established Engineering Manufacturing company requires the above to Manage an oversee all the financial aspects of the business including compliance in reporting, Taxation, Insurance as well as managing all third-party relationships, providing and improving Information Systems to meet short and long-term objectives for the South African operation.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Tertiary Accounting qualification or related and a CA(SA) or CIMA is essential.
• Previous experience having worked on an ERP System within the Engineering or Electrical or related Manufacturing Industries is essential.
• Previous experience having worked in a Senior Finance role as either Head of Finance or related Senior Management role within the Manufacturing Industry is essential.
• Previous experience having worked in an Engineering or related Manufacturing environment, with a good understanding of the Industry and Finance within Production/Manufacturing is essential.
• The successful candidate must have good leadership qualities with excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Having a good understanding of Strategic Management is essential.
• The successful candidate must be hands on and be involved in the operational aspect of the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of Finance and Accounting functions of the organization.
• Manage the Finance team and deployment of staff and financial resources.
• Provide recommendations to enhance Financial performance and business opportunities as well as analysis and reporting.
• Develop effective Financial approach to delivery services, performance measures (financial and non-financial) that support the Company’s strategic direction.
• Manage and co-ordinate the Companies budgeting process to ensure timetable deadlines are achieved.
• Monitor and enforce all sundry legal agreements and maintain good banking relationships.
• Manage and control business risk.
• Prepare Year End Financial packs for External Auditors and provide Internal Auditors with any Financial data.
• Liaise with Senior and Executive Management in respect to budget and strategic planning.
