Financial Controller (Newly Qualified CA(SA))

SUMMARY:
Large retail company with offices in Rosebank seeks to employ a newly qualified CA(SA) to fulfill the role of Financial Controller.  Someone with team management and strong financial management experience would be ideal.  This role maintains responsibility of the full financial function including offshore divisions.

POSITION INFO:
Main Outputs:

• Providing complete, reliable and accurate financial information within deadlines
• Ensuring adherence to the month end timetable and year end planning
• Compiling daily sales reports
• Recon reviews and preparation of audit files.
• Strict monitoring of financial deviations to minimise risk exposure to the business
• Tracking performance against budgets and forecasts
• Provide user specific reports that are meaningful, concise and effective
• Foreign currency experience, ideally with experience managing offshore divisions
• Ensuring that correct transfer pricing is done – all below the line transactions
•  The correct treatment of all inter-company transactions
• Vat and other taxes submission, recons and payment.
• Preparation of flash and final packs including consolidation
• Preparation of board packs, collation of all documentation, printing and distribution
• General financial assistance as required
• Budgeting and forecasting assistance
• Implementation of internal controls and policies
• Staff management, development and training

• VAT knowledge and experience with query resolution
• Ideally a candidate with retail exposure
