POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in the preparation of tax returns.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes.
Investment Analysis & Support:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis of investment portfolios, including performance tracking and valuation assessments.
- Collaborate with investment teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of investment memorandums and reports for stakeholders.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and report on variances.
Risk Management:
- Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure robust internal controls are in place and functioning effectively.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Set performance objectives, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the finance department and with other business units.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA(SA) or equivalent qualification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial management within the asset management or investment sector.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a finance team.
Strong proficiency in financial reporting standards and investment performance analysis.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial software systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
