SUMMARY:
Our client is a well-established organisation operating within the retail and logistics environment, offering a dynamic and fast-paced setting where strong financial leadership and operational involvement are key. The business provides exposure to stock-intensive operations, compliance, and strategic financial oversight within a structured corporate framework.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Manager to join a growing finance team based in Sandton. The role is suited to a mature and professional candidate with completed SAICA articles who is looking to step into a management position early in their career and gain hands-on exposure across the full finance function.

POSITION INFO:
Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee the full finance function, including month-end and year-end processes.
Prepare and review management accounts and financial reports.
Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
Oversee stock accounting and inventory controls within a retail/logistics environment.
Ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
Manage VAT, tax submissions, and statutory returns.
Liaise with auditors and manage the annual audit process.
Monitor internal controls and implement process improvements.
Provide financial analysis and strategic support to senior management.
Oversee cash flow management and working capital optimisation.

Job Experience and Skills Required

Completed SAICA articles.
BCom degree (Accounting or related field).
0–2 years’ post-articles experience.
Strong understanding of financial reporting and internal controls.
Experience within retail or logistics environments is advantageous.
Strong stock and inventory knowledge will be beneficial.
Mature, professional, and confident communicator.
Strong leadership potential with the ability to take ownership.
Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
Advanced Excel skills and strong computer literacy.
