Are you an immediately available finance professional who has a passion for technical accounting? If yes, then this role in a JSE listed entity specializing in electrical engineering and communication technology is looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their finance team.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Financial Reporting Accountant will be responsible for month end close and related procedures as well as updating and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and monthly journal entries. The Financial Reporting Accountant will be responsible for preparing annual financial statements, consolidations and reporting.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

BCom in Accounting
Completed SAICA articles is preferred

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

At least 3-4 years’ post article experience
Experience with IFRS 9 and IFRS 16 is preferred
Experience with consolidations
Experience with financial reporting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
