JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the Logistics industry, has an opportunity available for a Fleet Manager to be based in the Eastern Suburbs of Johannesburg.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

Matric required. (A relevant tertiary qualification would be an advantage)
A minimum 5 years working experience in a fleet management role
Sound knowledge of transport operations and fleet
Reporting and effective communication (Excellent Excel skills)
Solid technical knowledge on fleet in a logistics or similar environment
After Hours and Weekend Work at short notice (including callouts and stand by)

KPAs:

Select application appropriate vehicles and maintain them in good operating condition
Maintain relationships with service providers.
Manage fuel consumption and ensure compliance with set standards through regular reporting and investigation into potential fuel fraud of the company bowser, and the national fuel network.
Ensure compliance with service levels and resolving fleet break downs.
Maintain a database of the fleet, containing all relevant data
Responsible for tyre maintenance and management
Fines Management
Monitor spending to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets
Assist operations in maintaining good driver behaviour by providing reports and training material
