JOB SUMMARY:
Fleet Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Lead the Company in crafting and implementing sustainable transport and distribution solutions to achieve the most effective & competitive costs, the best customer service, and ensure the most efficient use of resources, whilst ensuring a safe working environment from the Delivery Teams and Fleet Maintenance Teams.

Risk Management activities relating to the fleet and the delivery service in the trade.
Develop the capability of the distribution team.
Manage the distribution cost effectively
Drive a Customer Service culture
Manage the procurement process relating the fleet
Ensure compliance with all internal fleet policies and any transport legislation.

Key Tasks:
Staff Deployment
Initiate and Review Route Viabilities with the Teams with the aim of managing Distribution costs
Talent & Performance Management
Fleet organisation and optimal replacement plan
Logistics Systems execution
Cost Management
Continuous benchmarking with the aim of driving best practices and shared learnings
Develop Fleet Audit documents and conduct fleet audits in all sites

Key Professional Competencies

Computer literacy: MS Office with advanced Excel capability
Academic –A Diploma in Logistics Management or equivalent
Strong Negotiation Skills - Engage in internal and external stakeholders so as to achieve business results.
Analytical - Manage complex fleet data and derive actionable insights from the data.
Attention to Detail – your work is consistently of a high standard and you can quickly identify and resolve errors in your own work and the work of others
Self-management – you are a self-starter who manages their own workload effectively to ensure that deadlines are met and risks to delivery are raised early
Communication skills – you have strong written and oral communication
