About the Role:

We are looking for a Fleet Monitoring Intern to support our operations team in
managing and monitoring our vehicles and drivers. This is an excellent opportunity to
gain hands-on experience in operations and logistics support in a vegetation
management business that works with large national contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor Fleet Movement: Use tracking systems to monitor vehicle locations,routes, and activities daily.
• Driver Behaviour Monitoring: Assist with checking driver safety and behaviour reports
• Vehicle Maintenance Coordination: Keep records of vehicle maintenance schedules, services, licensing renewals, and repairs.
• Security Checks: Carry out vehicle and asset security monitoring by following up on alerts and raising any issues.
• Data Capture: Assist in updating systems with mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance data.
• Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly reports on fleet performance, driver behaviour, and fuel usage for management.
• Compliance: Help ensure all documentation related to fleet management is up to date and well organised.

• Computer Skills: Comfortable using Excel, Word, and basic online systems.
• Training will be provided on our internal platforms.
• Initiative: You notice problems early and suggest improvements to make things run better.
• Organised: You like checklists, plans, systems, and keeping things in order.
• Interest in Operations: A desire to learn more about logistics, fleet management, and safety.

• South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
• Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
• Matric
• A diploma or short course in Logistics, Supply Chain, Purchasing or Warehouse Management.
• Previous experience in clerical work, data capturing, or project administration is an advantage but not required.
• Must be comfortable working with numbers and basic reporting.
