An international logistics group with a rapidly expanding footprint in South Africa is seeking an experienced Fleet Supervisor with a strong mechanical and technical background for one of its largest and most dynamic sites in Gauteng. This critical role reports directly to the Senior Operations Manager and involves managing a team of five direct reports, including Fleet Assistants and Mechanics.

The site operates a fleet of over 70 trucks and 200+ drivers, requiring a hands-on fleet specialist with proven leadership, coordination, and mechanical expertise to ensure optimal vehicle performance, uptime, and safety compliance.

Key experience required:

Fleet management
Vehicle tracking
Fuel consumption monitoring
Tire management
Cost management
Mechanical diagnostics and preventative maintenance oversight
Technical understanding of heavy vehicle systems

Requirements:

Matric
Certification or diploma in logistics or a related technical field
5 years’ experience in a fleet coordinator or supervisor role
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance
Experience working in the FMCG/Logistics/Supply Chain sectors
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
SAP experience
