GM: Sales and Operations

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Logistics Industry has a vacancy available for a GM: Sales and Operations.
 Salary: R80 000 ctc pm depending on experience.

POSITION INFO:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field
• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain
• Demonstrated leadership across both sales and operations
• Demonstrated success in building and managing operational teams
• Proven experience in an SME or entrepreneurial environment
• Strong exposure to fleet, inventory, warehousing, and contractor management
• Strong MS Excel skills;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
• Proficient in financial software and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle);
• Must hold a valid, unendorsed Code 8 driver’s licence and have access to a dedicated personal vehicle.
• Must be prepared to travel nationally as required.

• The General Manager: Sales and Operations is responsible for the end-to-end performance of the business, with full accountability for private pillar sales growth, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
• Operating in a fast-paced SME logistics environment, the role requires a highly hands-on leader who can drive revenue, optimise fleet and warehouse operations, manage independent contractors, and implement practical systems, controls, and policies to support scalable growth.
• The role provides commercial oversight to ensure that sales commitments are operationally achievable, profitable, and delivered consistently.
• A key focus of this position is building competent, accountable sales and operations teams and putting practical structures, processes, and controls in place to support sustainable growth.
• This role bridges strategy and execution, ensuring commercial commitments are operationally feasible, profitable, compliant, and safely delivered
