SUMMARY:

General Manager – Family Office

Paarl, Western Cape
An established and privately managed Family Office in Paarl is seeking to appoint a polished and commercially astute General Manager to oversee the daily affairs of a diversified investment portfolio and represent the Family Office at shareholder and board-level engagements.
This is a strategic, relationship-driven role requiring strong financial acumen, executive presence, and the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders across multiple industries.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

BCom Honours degree (essential)
Completed Articles (SAICA / SAIPA) highly advantageous
CA(SA) preferred
Minimum of 5 years’ post-articles experience
Background within Hospitality, Private Wealth, Investment Structures, or Professional Services environments

Candidates with experience managing high-touch, service-oriented environments alongside strong financial oversight will be particularly well suited to this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the daily operational and financial affairs of the Family Office
Act as shareholder representative at selected board and investment meetings
Monitor investment performance, financial reporting, and governance processes
Liaise with asset managers, auditors, bankers, legal advisors, and external consultants
Coordinate and manage various Family Office business activities and strategic initiatives
Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports
Travel locally (2–4 times per year) and internationally (1–2 times per year), as required

Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders with confidence and composure
Solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving capability
