JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client in Selby is looking for a vibrant Receiving and Issuing Clerk to join their team in the manufacturing industry

MIN REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

A Senior Certificate – Grade 12have a matric certificate or higher
have basic maths and arithmetic skills
be computer literacy
3 – 4 years experience – working with warehouses in a manufacturing environment
at least 1 year of experience – working on computerized inventory systems
be able to read and interpret documents such as invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders
have a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (advantageous)

JOB SPECIFICATION:

The successful candidate will be responsible to perform the following functions:

Validating all incoming delivery notes against internal purchase orders as well as supplier invoices
Liaising with the purchasing department regarding price discrepancies and incorrect deliveries
Accurately recording goods receipts in the company’s computerized inventory system
Timeously delivering documentation to the finance department
Ensuring the accurate recording of stock issued to production jobs
Reporting on variances between actual stock issued to jobs, and the theoretical stock needed as per the bills of material
Reporting on stock shortages and discrepancies in the inventory system
Assist the warehouse manager with monthly stock takes
Ensuring that daily Frame jobs are opened.
Maintaining files and records so they remain updated and easily accessible.
