POSITION INFO:

Our client, a well-established player within the manufacturing and distribution sector, is seeking a dynamic Group Accountant to join their finance team.

This opportunity offers exposure to complex group structures, multi-entity reporting, and strategic financial decision-making.

This role is ideal for a technically strong CA(SA) who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is passionate about driving efficiencies and improving reporting accuracy. You will be working closely with senior leadership and have direct input into group-level financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and execute monthly group consolidations across multiple entities
Analyse monthly financial results, including income statements and balance sheets
Ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements across the group
Prepare and review group financial reports and submissions to stakeholders
Oversee intercompany transactions and consolidation journals
Liaise with auditors and manage audit processes and queries
Drive process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy
Support tax submissions, statutory reporting, and regulatory returns

Job Experience and Skills Required

Education:

CA(SA) non-negotiable

Experience:

Minimum 2 to 4 years post articles experience
Proven experience in group reporting and consolidations
Exposure to manufacturing or distribution environments advantageous
Strong audit foundation (Big 4 exposure highly beneficial)

Skills:

Advanced knowledge of IFRS
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with ERP systems (SAP advantageous)
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
